Join us to celebrate La Fête Nationale (Bastille Day) on Friday the 17th of July 2026 at 7:30pm.

We'll be gathering around two big tables at À La Bonne Franquette (6/710 Brunswick St, New Farm - diagonally opposite the cinema) for a relaxed and cosy dîner.

Expect an apéro, entrée, plat principal, dessert, vin et beaucoup d’ambiance.

Further develop your appreciation of les vins français* at our wine degustation event. Learn French wine étiquette, how to read a label and most importantly your vin préféré*.  Relaxed, convivial and lots of fun!

FÊTE DE NOËL

We'd love to see you at our annual fête de Noël*. Catch up with your classmates, meet some of the new Chouchous* we've welcomed into the nest in and toast yourself and each other. 

We’ll send around some canapés and there’s a cash bar so if you’d like to come along, just let us know to expect you! Friends and family welcome, bien sûr.

FESTIVAL DE FILM

Kick off your year of French culture with a visit to the Alliance Française French Film Festival. Each year, we at Lingua Franca scour the listings to choose the very best film for our Chouchous*.

If you’re feeling social, join us at a local bar pre-film for an drink, or if you’d rather, simply meet us upstairs at Palace James St just before the start time.
