Sausage fanciers unite! Held each October, La Marche des Teckels is an annual gathering and parade for dachshunds (sausage dogs) and their owners in Paris. Coinciding with Paris Fashion Week and World Animal Day, the event highlights the remarkable transformation *les ménages français have undergone in the past few decades to realise the emotional and psychological benefits of pet ownership.
This year’s Paris Sausage Walk attracted 3217 doxies and raised funds to support Teckels Sans Doux Foyer, a French association for abandoned and mistreated *animaux de compagnie.
